Finally!

   

    A while back I entertained the thought of a first-person shooter that, without leaving the eyes of the character, infused the player experience with a full set of Parkour-esque movement options.  Well, thanks the the badasses at DICE (you may know them for their Battlefield series of games), that is about to become a real possibility.

    The game is called Mirror’s Edge, and from the article, I have to say I’m a little more than excited about it.  (by the way, here are some enigmatically awesome screenshots!

    This is really a push for me because innovation in the FPS genre is in a rarefied state.  All manner of 3rd person games have been coming out, and they have been successively ground-breaking titles.  Despite the lack of information about Mirror’s Edge itself, if they pull off half of what they are saying they did, this game is bound to go down in the history books as the singularly most impressive sleeper since Half-Life 2. 

    Oh, and is anyone else excited for Resistance 2?
